This is an artwork from our Mid-century modern poster collection. This is one half of a diptych. Characterised by bold lines, geometric shapes, lines, curves and organic shapes, the artworks in the mid century modern collection have an elegant, stylish sophistication about them. The aesthetic is emphasized by a striking, yet simple coastal color palette that includes pastel colors like sand, beige, blue, azure, aqua, brown and teal. The subjects, inspired by the Bauhaus and Futurism are generally circles, half circles, arches, rectangles, squares, triangles, ellipses and other regular shapes. Abstract, irregular, organic and natural shapes may also be represented in some of the posters, but the layout and composition are unmistakably mid century inspired.
